Paulette Simpson’s journey from the hills of Manchester, Jamaica, to being named one of Britain’s most influential figures is nothing short of inspiring. Raised by her grandmother in Walderston, she was instilled with the values of resilience and service—qualities that had defined her career. As deputy CEO of JN Bank UK and executive director of The Voice, Britain’s leading black newspaper, she has dedicated her life to uplifting the Caribbean community in the UK. A champion for rights, she played a pivotal role in the Windrush Commemoration Committee and was honored by Queen Elizabeth II in 2020. Simpson’s story is a testament to the power of purpose and perseverance.
